  12. I have downloaded t640-256.zoo from ftp-os2.nmsu.edu and tried to install
  13. it. First, I checked my Config.sys about IOPL=YES,and it was OK.
  14. Then I backed up my drivers, went to OS2-Full-Screen and typed SVGA ON.
  15. The SVGADATA.PMI was created in /OS2.
  16. Then I typed DDINSTAL and installed the driver t640c(640x480x256), about
  17. 173 Kb.
  18. Everything worked fine, and after installation was complete, I rebooted
  19. my system.
  20. The OS2-Logo appeared on the screen, then teh screen got black, my HD-drive
  21. stopped, and in the left upper corner the cursor was blinking. I tried almost
  22. all combinations of keys(alt-Numlock, alt-escape, ctrl-escape,etc), but 
  23. nothing happened. Okay, so I thought to boot from diskette and reinstall
  24. the old drivers.After taking out disk No.1 after booting, I tried to copy
  25. my drivers back.
  26. But all I got was an error message, that this path couldnt be found.
  27. The command cd D:(OS2 is on logical drive D installed) worked, and the D-
  28. prompt blinked. But when I typed dir I got the next error message, and 
  29. I could neither read nor write to HD. So I had to install OS2 again.
  30. My system: 
  31.           -486/33, 4MB Ram
  32.           -105 HD(AT-bus)
  33.           -prim.Partition C, 29 MB, DRDOS 6.0
  34.           -log.    "      D, 70 MB, OS/2 2.0, HPFS
  35.           -Trident 9000 Video-card, 512 kb
  36.           -Multisync-monitor
  37. Now my question: Did I make a mistake ?
  38.                  Are the drivers corrupted(unpacking worked fine)?
  39.                  Is there another possibility to restore my system
  40.                  as to reinstall?
