- Borland-
- I currently use Borland C++ version 3.1. It is, without a
- doubt the best C compiler written in the history of humanity.
- However it is definatly a dos application (which is fine for my
- current work). My question is:Does anyone know of any plans for an
- os/2 version and if anyone is familiar with borland, how expensive
- do you think the upgrade will be? I got 3.1 on upgrade but I got it
- completely free because I had purchased 3.0 only two weeks before
- 3.1 was released and because I had some problem with the tech
- department (couldn't get through) so to make it up to me they didn't
- even charge me for shipping. (When you can get ahold of them the
- Borland people are very knowledgable and VERY nice).
-
- Trident-
- I downloaded the trident drivers from hobbes and have a
- question about the 640*480*256 driver. Why doesn't it show all 256
- colors? When I installed it my os/2 windows went right to
- 640*480*256 without problem and showed all the colors very nicely.
- But when I installed it on the os/2 desktop I got 'more' colors but
- none of my backgrounds looked right! How do I convince it to work?
- Also does anyone know if I can run xga through my trident card (its
- a 1 meg model)?
-
- Compu-Serve-
- I'm considering joining compu-serve. I'v asked them to send
- me their rates and such to see if its still more expensive then sin.
- My question is:What is os/2 support like there? Does ibm have a
- forum to discuss os/2 and hand things out? Do other companies have
- them?
-
- Thanks,
