  13.   Microsoft Readies New Version of DOS
  14.        Microsoft plans to begin beta testing a new version of DOS in August,
  15.   sources said last week.  The version, planned for final delivery in the
  16.   first half of 1993, will include new and enhanced utilities, not
  17.   all of which will be in the first beta, they said.

  19.        Microsoft Vice President Brad Silverberg last week declined to 
  20.   confirm specific features, but said the "first version [of MS-DOS] that
  21.   will come out is oriented toward solving particular end-user
  22.   needs."

  25. I wonder which particular end-user needs they're talking about?  Maybe 
  26. they'll finally lose that ridiculous 128-character PATH size limit.
