  13. Has anyone been successful in running a Colorado Memory Systems tape
  14. drive with an FC-10 Jumperless Tape Controller in a DOS box in OS2.

  16. I have tried the standard VDM, and DOS booted from Drive A:, and the
  17. CMS tape software reports 'No tape controller detected',
  18. or, it reports a 'Tape controller/software incompatibility'
  19. The tape system works perfectly under native DOS, of course.

  21. I have selected an interrupt that is not in use by any other hardware, so
  22. that the common OS2 problem caused by DOS willingness to share interrupts
  23. is removed. I have changed the device address setting and the DMA channel,
  24. and I have disabled concurrent disk/tape operation in the CMS software.
  25. In short, I've tried many of the obvious approaches.

  27. I realize that CMS tapes are NOT currently supported under OS2, and that
  28. they expect to issue OS2 software 4Q92. I would like a work-around until then.
