- Has anyone been successful in running a Colorado Memory Systems tape
- drive with an FC-10 Jumperless Tape Controller in a DOS box in OS2.
-
- I have tried the standard VDM, and DOS booted from Drive A:, and the
- CMS tape software reports 'No tape controller detected',
- or, it reports a 'Tape controller/software incompatibility'
- The tape system works perfectly under native DOS, of course.
-
- I have selected an interrupt that is not in use by any other hardware, so
- that the common OS2 problem caused by DOS willingness to share interrupts
- is removed. I have changed the device address setting and the DMA channel,
- and I have disabled concurrent disk/tape operation in the CMS software.
- In short, I've tried many of the obvious approaches.
-
- I realize that CMS tapes are NOT currently supported under OS2, and that
- they expect to issue OS2 software 4Q92. I would like a work-around until then.
