- I don't know enough about the NT virtual memory implementation to answer
- that question. Yes, the documentation says that the swapfile can grow
- if it needs to. The 20 meg minimum is stated because it is needed for
- NT to initially come up. There is no mechanism in place at that time to
- grow the swapfile and the systems dies gracelessly. I know that my
- system, which has 12 meg of memory, has no free pages at the time NT
- comes up. However, the virtual memory manager somehow manages to free
- about 4 meg of memory in a few minutes. BTW, I have no network stuff
- running.
