- One down, one to go. I still need some help placing a pushbutton on the
- titlebar of a child window. If possible, I don't want to resort to using
- bitmaps. I know I can get text up there using GetWindowDC, and just need
- some info on how to get the (frame window?) handle to place the button
- out of the client area. I see folks from Microsoft on here occasionally,
- maybe you can ask some of the gurus there? I really NEED this info!
-
- Thanks to Marius from Norway for the reply in re. colored text in listbox
- and comboboxes. Not what I wanted to hear (ownerdraw), but I guess I can
- grind through it.
-
- Parting shot... I am baffled at why Microsoft chose to carry on the
- nonsense of using ints instead of longs for window extents in Win32 API.
- What about us pore folks whut hafta go past -32768..32767, huh? Do we
- hafta waste our 386/486 32-bit arithmetic doing conversions forever?
- I do lotsa GDI programming, and getting rid of wraparound (not to
- mention only partially-functional clipping) is a real pain in the
- bouzouki, Microsoft! Howzabout you find it in your hearts to fix it?
-
- (Flamers, I know they read this stuff. Bitch at me privately instead
- of repeating it and wasting further bandwidth, please. Like you never
- do it, yourself. Yeah, right.)
-
- IN THE ABOVE CONTROVERSIAL BS, DON'T FORGET MY TITLEBAR BUTTON NEEDS!
- :-) Thanks! :-)
