- Dear Abby:
-
- Please don't flame me if this is an FAQ, I didn't see it asked anywhere.
-
- I was thinking of buying either Turbo C++ or BC++, however, I only
- have an 8086 machine. The system requirements for Turbo C++ 3.1 (I think
- it's 3.1, what ever the latest version is) are at least an AT, with
- 1 mb ram. Is this true? Even if I just wanted to run ANSI C, do I still
- need to have a 286 or faster machine? (I know, you're probably saying I should
- bite the bullet and buy a better machine, but my wife doesn't think so).
-
-
- Am I out of luck? What should I do?
