  10. I am having an odd problem since installing DOS 5.0. The situation is this:
  11. I have the need to use single sheets of paper frequently with my Epson 
  12. RX80-F/T+ printer to print out resumes and the like. I have the paper out 
  13. error disabled via the dip switch in the printer so I can get all of the 
  14. document on the page. This works successfully with DOS 3.2 and 3.3, but not 
  15. with DOS 5.0. With DOS 5.0, upon getting the paper out light on the printer, 
  16. the system stops and I get an error like Write error on device LPT1 (or 
  17. PRN). This does not happen with previous versions of DOS. This problem 
  18. occurs even if I use the COPY or PRINT commands to send a file to the 
  19. printer. Has anyone seen this problem with MSDOS 5.0 or know how it can be 
  20. easily fixed (I don't really want to go the "put a piece of tape over the 
  21. paper out switch on the printer" way because this should work as I have it 
  22. set up now. Any help on this would be most appreciated. By the way, I am 
  23. running on a Zenith Z-157 XT compatible system, just for information 
  24. in case you need it. Thanks.
