- Hi, Victor!
-
- May be you were russian student too far ago, or Russia really more poor
- country than Ukraine :-) I was graduated from Kiev State University at 1989.
- At that time I had a practice of working with IBM/360, PDP-11 (really pirated
- clones) and I knew their OS/360 and UNIX. As to the languages, we learned
- PL/1, C, assembly for IBM/360, PDP-11 and Hewlett Packard. At that times
- University really had no any PC but nowadays it has them enough to make
- practical courses for students with programmers specialization.
-
- And I had never heard term "paper computers" during my studying at Kiev.

- During the last time I have seen at our newspapers many propositions
- of second hand computers from different firms. They propose their PC's
- with low prices but I think that they make commerce with them.

- Don't worry. It is really interesting for us, poor people from former
- Soviet Union to read such letters. They don't describe our economic situation
- but describe well opinion of former Soviet Union citizens and inform about
- business they do in US.
