  12. I am posting this for a friend who lacks internet access.

  14. We are both looking for a database management program which can handle upwards
  15. of 150,000 records. These records will be a mix of text and video/scanned
  16. images.  The program will be used in a museum for collections management and
  17. the curators wish to store text descriptions along with a color photograph
  18. (either scanned or taken via video) of the object. This program MUST meet the
  19. following criteria:

  21. * must handle the various types of data: text and video
  22. * must run on either DOS or Windows
  23. * MUST be fast in searching/retrieving/updating/sorting of the records
  24. * must have flexible reporting features and formats (reports generated for
  25.   Annual Reports, etc.)
  26. * must be able to be used by both programmers and non-programmers alike
  27.
