  13. Is anyone aware of any 'ftp-able' lists  or an index of
  14. public-domain or shareware programs available for the PCs?

  16.  I know there are many sites which maintain programs for the  PCs
  17. available via 'anonymous-ftp,' and I know there is a database utility
  18. (ARCHIE.MCGILL.CA, etc.) which can provide information
  19. about which 'ftp' sites have which programs.  However, it would be
  20. nice if there were a list of what shareware programs are available and
  21. what all they do.  I suppose requesting a catalog from some of the mail-order
  22. shareware houses is one solution, but an 'ftp-able' list would be
  23. preferable.
