  55. I hate to say it - but back in the old PDP11 days they had overlays.
  56. And learned to like them.

  61. There is some satisfaction in shoehorning the most functionality in to
  62. the smallest space.  The amazing fact that a PDP11 could multitask
  63. with the same 64k of memory that ran CP/M was amazing to me.

  65. I grew up with PDP11's and love the fact that RT11 can run foreground
  66. and background tasks (up to 15 background tasks) in a machine with only
  67. 64kb of real memory is a fact that some people that haven't had to live
  68. with those restrictions don't understand.

  70. Unfortunately, you can't run X in that space, or NFS... Perhaps TCP/IP
  71. though...
