- I get a pretty steady 218 cps throughput in UUCP 1.21, at 2400 baud.
- This is with 'g' and a 3-packet window, receiving news from a 486
- running SCO (I think). In use the modem Rx led is continuously alight,
- to the human eye, with the Tx led flicking to acknowlege. I haven't
- messed much with the actual 'g' driver, but the file recieve loop is
- set up to keep spinning, and waste the minimum amount of time. I'd
- expect ~470 for 'g' at 9600 baud if the hardware can keep up - I'm
- running a 10MHz XT with an ordinary 8250 UART. Remember that 'g'
- has around 8.75% overhead in the packet frames.
-
- Thanks for the note on 19200 baud - whoever it was. I never thought
- of adding it, possibly for some very sound reason which escapes me,
- but I'll have a shot at it.
