  12. I get a pretty steady 218 cps throughput in UUCP 1.21, at 2400 baud.
  13. This is with 'g' and a 3-packet window, receiving news from a 486
  14. running SCO (I think).  In use the modem Rx led is continuously alight,
  15. to the human eye, with the Tx led flicking to acknowlege.  I haven't
  16. messed much with the actual 'g' driver, but the file recieve loop is
  17. set up to keep spinning, and waste the minimum amount of time.  I'd
  18. expect ~470 for 'g' at 9600 baud if the hardware can keep up - I'm
  19. running a 10MHz XT with an ordinary 8250 UART.  Remember that 'g'
  20. has around 8.75% overhead in the packet frames.

  22. Thanks for the note on 19200 baud - whoever it was.   I never thought
  23. of adding it, possibly for some very sound reason which escapes me,
  24. but I'll have a shot at it.
