- 490 cps is a good value for a HST/V.32bis with MINIX386! That's pretty
- slow for a 9600 bps UUCP-connection, but there seems to be a problem
- deep within UUCICO and/or MINIX itself ...
-
- That are my preferences:
-
- HST connecting with 19.2k bps (the trick is to set everything up to 9600,
- and than patch the sources like that: define B9600 19200) [Sorry Will,
- I know: UGLY! ... but working :-)]
-
- Using Z-Protocol (if you need it, i'll send it to you) on a 20 MHz 386
- with Bruces 386er MNX.
-
- Sending: up to 1000 CPS ("real" UNIX: 1600 CPS)
- Receiving: 430 CPS ("real" UNIX: 1600 CPS)

- Let us celebrate that sentence ;-))
-
-
- I gave up re-discovering UUCICO the last winter, and I've MUCH respect
- for what Will did and reached with his version!
-
-
- Little hoax: Z-Modem makes 1100 CPS in both directions :-))) Yeah, the
- same hard-/software!
-
- So don't play around with the kernel - bigger RS232-buffer etc. - it's
- all a waste of time!
