- A while back I saw a notice for a 386BSD Single Server under Mach 3.0
- that was in beta and availiable to anyone with Mach 3.0 presently. The
- notice also stated that the release was availiable only via SUP, but
- would be made availiable via FTP soon, when it was more stable.
-
- I am inquiring 1) If there is a mailing list that is active on this
- project and the proceedure to be added; and 2) Is there a time estimate
- of when the non-CMU build environment of this will be availiable via
- anonymous FTP. I am speaking only for myself but I have a feeling that
- many people on the NET would love to have the Mach 3.0 micro-kernel
- running ANY operating system that is in any state of beta testing.
-
- I personally do not have an AT&T source license (and don't plan on
- getting one soon, unless I win the state lottery ;) but I very much
- would like to work with Mach 3.0. I know Mt Xinu has a port availiable
- but it is not compatible (hard disk format wise) with any recent or
- future updates to the micro-kernel itself.
-
- CMU (at least I think that they are involved) would be doing a great
- service to the furtherance of the acceptance (and eventual utilization)
- of the Mach micro-kernel.
-
- Please reply in the mach newgroup so others can use the info too.
- Thanks in advance.
