  21. There are two steps to installing Shoelace, one which involves
  22. /dev/hda[1234] and one which involves /dev/hda.  DO NOT PERFORM THE SECOND
  23. STEP.  The second step installs WiniBoot, which is redundant, since the
  24. OS/2 Boot Manager will do the same.

  26. If you have a copy of DOS 5.0, do the following:

  28. 1. Boot DOS 5.0 (from a floppy or HD doesn't matter)
  29. 2. Type "FDISK /MBR"
  30. 3. Reboot

  32. This will restore your master boot record to the original.  You may need to
  33. re-update your Boot Manager information using OS/2 FDISK after this.

  40. See above.  This will remove WiniBoot (the "Boot Manager" that comes with
  41. Shoelace), while leaving Shoelace itself (the program that bootstraps the
  42. Linux kernel) intact.
