- Hey has anyone noticed that umount doesnt work with -a flag.
- I.E. Well it does but doesn't update the mtab file, so doing a df
- after umount -a gives garbage.
- This is true for me also (mount/umount from rootimage-0.96).
-
- Also mount doesn't work with -avf flags.
- 'f' is for 'fake', it builds a mtab entry only, does no real mount
- (read from Sun man pages)
-
- And have you notoiced the garbage it writes for the root device
- if you have it in the fstab file??
-
- In mine ive got:
- (that is the mtab file)
-
- hda4 / minix defaults 2 62914336
-
- What the hell is 62914336 anyway ??
- Yes , I have got the same number and no explanation for it.
- Why is the mounted device not given as its full name ? This makes it
- impossible to mount a file containing a filesys, as mentioned to be
- supported in the near future.
-
- Mitch
- P.S. thats with the last patch posted.
- So nothing seems to have changed since July 6 (?) when rootimage-0.96 came out.
-
- Are there newer binaries for : mount umount shtudown/reboot/halt ... ?
