  12. Well, ^V^O doesn't work.  that was the first thing I tried, as I had recently
  13. read those articles.   ;)
  14. This problem only happens under linux.
  15. I am useing 0.96, not .96a, .96b, .96c.....(seems I always grab the latest 
  16. version number right before the bugfixes!)
  17. I used dos
  18. (pcplus 2.01) to do the same yesterday, and it works great.  :(
  19. now, for the symptoms:
  20. I think the command giving problems is a clear screen sequence from the remote
  21. host, which happens to be a vax running vms. (yech)  ;)
  22. The screen goes into the extended character set, but only the lower case 
  23. letters!  numbers, and capital letters do ok.
  24. go figure.  :(
  25. My solution for now:
  26. create a dos partition temporarily.
  27. install dos5.0, and pcplus2.01 on that partition.
  28. use this to login and get the linux stuff I need...
  29. reboot to linux.....
  30. mcopy the stuff over.
  31. I was hoping to use linux only, so I wouldn't have to truncate file names, 
  32. but them's the breaks... :(

  34. I am going to do a setterm -file dfile -dump 2 and see if the graphics get 
  35. captured, or if it maps normal on another vc....
