  20. and microemacs.  For those of us who absolutely despise the bloated
  21. operating system that regular emacs is, and whose fingers are trained
  22. to correctly operate a keyboard, and who look wistfully at the multiple
  23. windows under emacs, vile is glorious.

  25. In fact, it's the only piece of software I've ever thought of paying
  26. a shareware fee for.  I contacted the author about it, asking if he
  27. wanted $20 to keep it up, but he indicated that vile was freeware, and
  28. he couldn't accept the money with a clean conscience. :)
