  10. I seem to be having a bit of trouble getting linux to create a valid FS
  11. on an RLL drive.  I have a WD RLL controller, and I created a 32 meg
  12. partition for it(actually it was a DOS partition, bit I hacked it to be
  13. a minix type partition.  Anyhow when I run mkfs -c [blah blah] it chokes
  14. on sector 3870 while checking for bad clusters.  I know that this is
  15. bull, since I had SpeedStor verify the partition and it is clean of bad
  16. sectors.

  18. Am I crazy and linux should support RLL formatted drives, or is it a
  19. non-supported feature of the OS?  Is there hope for a patch/updated
  20. release?
  21. Or do I have to spend some $$$ I don't have to buy an IDE or SCSI drive.

  24. BTW  Linux is a great os, and I hope I can get it installed on my HD.  I
