  10. I finally got around to playing with named pipes (Fifos) and
  11. subsequently got confused.  After doing "mkfifo foo", I got a file
  12. called "foo|" in my directory with permissions of "prw-------", and I
  13. can't seem to get rid of it.  I made some feeble attempts to write
  14. things to this file and read them back from another program, but these
  15. were met with "Syntax errors" (from the shell??).  Anyway, I'd like to
  16. know the particulars on these "named pipes" and also how to get rid of
  17. them.
