  11. can the extended filesystem be used on the root partition?

  13. Ive been fidling with this for several hours now and cant seem to make
  14. it work..  I end up getting

  17. kernal panic

  19. and then a lockup, or something real close to that.  I tried editing the
  20. fstab table, but after I thought about it I dont think that sould help
  21. anyway as it would have to have mounted the partion in order to read my
  22. edited file.
