- Hi all,
-
- I was wondering if it would be possible to install a Adaptek 1540 card in
- my 386 system with an 8mm drive in order to get Linux to do backups on?
-
- I am pretty confident that installing a SCSI card should be quite feasable,
- but I would want to get my 8mm tape backup unit (the office loaner in fact)
- to work from it. As you can imagine, I am not a hardware person (or a big
- Linux'er for that matter). I would really appreciate some constructive
- comments on this.
-
- Thanking all in advance,
-
- Doug!
-
- P.S. One last thing, I would like to thank all who have replied to my
- previous posting (a question in fact) on 'Help mounting floppy' for the
- fantastic (read helpfull) response. I would also like to thank the
- contributors of Linux for a GREAT OS. I am fun like I use to when I first
- started in cs. I was missing the occasional hair pulling exercises :-}
