  28.   Will this still have an effect on your eyes from prolonged use (4+
  29. hour stretches) though even though you do not perceive a problem?  
  30. Most of the good et4000 cards have a high dot clock of 80. Hmm, can 
  31. the S3 (namely, the Diamond Stealth) be programmed to emit a dot clock 
  32. to at least 100Mhz?   This would make 1152x900 adequate (according to 
  33. Satish's xclk program).

  35.   There is a PD (well, freely available, whatever) S3 project in the works.  
  36. Hopefully, we'll all have a nice Christmas present. ;-)  If the S3 can
  37. drive the better 17" monitors without flicker and without moire' problems
  38. (brought on also by too low a dot clock), then with it's added speed
  39. advantages over the et4000, it will be the ideal card to use for X386.
  40. Also, by the Fall, the price will hopefully drop below $200.
