  29. Someone should look into porting MDQS.  It's a comprehensive queueing system
  30. that includes replacements for lpr/lpd, cron (kind of), etc., and even
  31. supports queueing across machines transparently.  I tried to port it
  32. this afternoon but it turns out to be a non-trivial port, and I haven't
  33. the knowledge about signals or ioctl to do it.

  38. MDQS would be a good addition to the Linux arsenal.  Tektronics uses it
  39. (or at least used to) for all their workstations.  New servers and new
  40. enqueuers are easy to write.
