- A new alpha test version of the MS-DOS FS can be found on
- banjo.concert.net as pub/Linux/Incoming/dosfs.6.tar.Z
-
- It is relative to the 0.96c kernel at patchlevel 2. A patch and a full
- set of sources are included. The contents of the patch and the TAR
- archive, that contains the source, are equivalent.
-
- This is primarily a maintenance release and it contains several bug
- fixes. One bug caused the FS to "forget" to deallocate clusters after
- a rmdir. Therefore, (MS-DOS') CHKDSK should be run on disks, on which
- an rmdir has been performed, to reclaim the lost clusters.
-
- The beginning of the README is at the end of this posting.
