  26.     I did use Coherent 3.0 for a time.  It is a very nice system.
  27. It is a system for causual users without hugh demands.  It is
  28. VERY easy to install so even the most inexperienced computer user
  29. can deal with it.

  31.     Now, I'm a Linux addict.  I've been slowly trying convince
  32. people that a home Un*x would be most excellent.  But the biggest
  33. problem that I ran across is the fact that most aren't "motived" to
  34. build a system from "scratch".  To me, that is the biggest problem
  35. with Linux and new users.  One installs it manually.

  37.     Another problem with Linux in contrast to Coherent is
  38. the fact of avaliablity.  You write/call the company and place your
  39. order.  With Linux, you need ftp access or a local bbs (else free
  40. Linux is GONE... phone BILL).  Not everyone has this, which makes
  41. it harder to get compared to Coherent.

  43.     Personally, I like Linux much much better than Coherent because
  44. of the fact that you get SOURCE.  You have a larger software base and
  45. most of everything on your computer can be accessed.  (Coherent had
  46. a big problem of not letting you get to video.  And the docs were very
  47. bad.)

  49.     What is the point?  The guy, I think, was looking at the
  50. avaliablity where he recommented it to the readers.  I think he
  51. has a point.. :)
