  12. I am attempting to compile a list of books that are helpful with linux.

  14. What we need are books on the following topics:
  15. administration
  16. networking
  17. uucp
  18. mail
  19. tex
  20. emacs
  21. X
  22. gcc
  23. and lots more.  ;)

  25. I prefer book suggestions be submitted with the following format:
  26. Last, First M. : Title of book, date, ISBN, brief description.

  28. You can add more info if you want, this is just a rough guideline.  ;)
  29. I notice there have been MANY posts lately recommending this or that book,
  30. If you just recommended one, let me know!!

  32. I will make this list available at tsx, and I might be able to convince a root
  33. disk maintainer or two to include it in .Z on a root disk  ??

  35. What we need most right now wrt root disks, is some nice documents that are compressed.  ;)
