- Well, since everyone seems to think it's such a good idea, I'm going to start
- a Linux Ongoing Project Registry. I haven't heard of another such registry,
- so I'll set up an account on my machine to handle it. (Someone suggested that
- Linus run this, but I think he's got more important things to do (like work
- on the kernel :-) than to keep track of everybody else.)
-
- So, if you have a Linux Project-in-Progress, send a short message with
- 1) your Email address
- 2) a short project description
- 3) the project status (eg, back-burner, alpha test, coding, etc)
- to
- constellation!biglaw!registry@mailhost.ecn.uoknor.edu
-
- or (if and _only_ if you can't use bang paths and @paths at once)
-
- callison@uokmax.ecn.uoknor.edu
-
- with the subject line
-
- Linux Project Registry
-
- To give you an idea of what I need, here's an example of the output:
-
- PROJECT STATUS ADDRESS
- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
- ATI Driver for XWS Beta Testing foo@nowhere.UUCP
- Registry of Projects (ongoing) constellation.....edu
-
- (of course, the final format will be slightly different...)
-
- Hopefully, the bang-path address will go away when we get Telecom to run the
- backbone out our way, but it's the best I can do for the moment...
