  14.   when I boot linux on my home machine, I see a getty running on ttys1.
  15. I wonder where this is coming from, since (a) the is no ttys1 device on
  16. the machine, (b) it's not in inittab, and (c) it's not in /etc/rc.

  18.   Oh, and after going out and getting a serial mouse because I didn't
  19. want to wait for the patches which make the bus mouse work, and putting
  20. in a serial card to run the mouse, X still doesn't see it (yes I patched
  21. Xconfig).
