- Hello
-
- I have recently installed the MCC-interim package including gcc.
-
- I noticed the release of gdb4.6 now supports linux and decided to to
- give gcc a workout. The installation of gdb looked easy so after
- the command 'configure linux' which gave no errors. (the linux support
- looks good !). I let rip with 'make'
-
- This failed on the file bfd/trad-core.c with cannot find <machine/reg.h>
- I commented this out to let make proceed but it failed again in
- gdb/i386-xdep.c but this time the file was <sys/reg.h>.
- a grep though the distribution kit also found "vx-share/reg.h" in
- gdb/remote-vx.c:
-
- Questions:
- Which package should supply reg.h (linux, gcc or gdb) ?
- where should it reside <machine/ > (i don't have one of those),
- <sys/ >, elsewhere or both ?
- Where can I get a copy ?

- Email replies please - news feed not too reliable in deepest Oxfordshire !
