  14. I have recently installed the MCC-interim package including gcc.
  15.  
  16. I noticed the release of gdb4.6 now supports linux and decided to to
  17. give gcc a workout. The installation of gdb looked easy so after
  18. the command 'configure linux' which gave no errors. (the linux support
  19. looks good !). I let rip with 'make'
  20.  
  21. This failed on the file bfd/trad-core.c with cannot find <machine/reg.h>
  22. I commented this out to let make proceed but it failed again in
  23. gdb/i386-xdep.c but this time the file was <sys/reg.h>.
  24. a grep though the distribution kit also found "vx-share/reg.h" in 
  25. gdb/remote-vx.c:

  27. Questions:
  28.   Which package should supply reg.h (linux, gcc or gdb) ?
  29.   where should it reside <machine/ > (i don't have one of those),
  30.   <sys/ >, elsewhere or both ?
  31.   Where can I get a copy ?
