  13. With the addition of the DOS FS, the kernel has grown to over 
  14. 256K, which, if my memory serves me correctly,  was the max 
  15. size I compiled it to load of /Image.  At any rate, it doesn't
  16. seem to boot for me any more.   And since I don't have minix
  17. 386 anymore...

  19. Anyways, now that extended FS is here, we only need a few partitions.
  20. Maybe one for DOS, one for the root partition and one for the
  21. extended partition, plus one for the boot partition = 4.
  22. Just right.   When the kernel can use an EXT FS for the root
  23. then we may need even one less.  And if/when the DOS emulator,
  24. we can even skip the DOS partition and run it from a file.
