- I'm not sure about your other problems, and even with this one there's not
- enough information there for me to do anything but guess, but I've seen a
- similar thing to this when I've accidently tried to talk to my 2400 baud
- internal modem at 9600 - it wedges and requires a hardware reset (cold boot)
- to bring back to life.
