- My modem is a ZyXEL U-1496E, the manual for it gives no indication that it can
- be configured to reset when DTR drops, but it's possible that it works - I
- haven't tried it. I'm only using /etc/modeminit on boot to initialize the
- modems to a known state (for the ZyXEL all it does is reset it), apart from
- that I leave the modems alone.

- I'm fairly sure the problem I had was with the serial driver being set the
- wrong speed, the modem appeared to autobaud to whatever appeared at the serial
- port quite happily.
