- I understand that the IEEE needs to support itself. If they don't want to give
- standards away, why don't they at least make them electronically accessible
- via something like Compu$erve where we could be assured of getting the latest
- data and have the advantages of on-line search. The current policy seems to
- be self defeating. Paper is an obsolescent medium for high technology data
- interchange IMHO. CDROM is somewhat better, but is slow, and mainly suitable
- for reference data. It also forces the user to take everyhing.
