- A shot in the dark. The RTA is building a Customer Information System
- (information kiosk) touch screen multi-media project for public retrvial
- of information about the authority's services. We have a couple of hundred
- of full colour(16 million) Targa files, that we need to get into a 256 colours
- for MS_windows.
-
- MicroSoft's PalEdit from the MultiMedia Development Kit contains several
- predefined colour palette files. Eg.
-
- VGA.PAL = Standard VGA 16 colour palette
- STANDARD.PAL = A 196-color palette that conforms to NTSC color standards.
-
- The problem we are having in using the STANDARD.PAL is that the resulting
- images display all the colour biasses we normal see in NTSC colour TV,
- particularly in skin tones.
-
- Does anybody have a 196-color palette that conforms to the PAL color standard
- (Australian & British ), or SECAM color standard (French) ?
-
- Thanks Shaun.
