  11. Pardon me if this is a FAQ somewhere, but I can't seem to find any
  12. newsgroup dedicated to or even mentioning CD-ROM or optical disk based
  13. database information.  Any pointers in the right direction would be
  14. appreciated.

  16. Someone in my company has thousands of data books from many companies
  17. containing Integrated Circuit data specifications.
  18. These books need to be continually replaced with more current
  19. information.

  21. The perfect solution would be an optical disk based subscription service
  22. similar to what many professions now have, such as lawyers and realtors.
  23. They get monthly updates with the current laws and homes for sale
  24. respectively shipped to them on a CD-ROM for a fixed monthly or yearly 
  25. fee.

  27. Does anybody know of a source for that information for IC's?
  28. I'm certain there is a market out there with all the electronic
  29. engineers needing this kind of information.
  30. A central clearing-house providing information on multiple vendors 
  31. would be preferable, but even if each vendor would produce a small PC
  32. CD-ROM based package it would help greatly.
