- FWIW:
- I'm pretty sure this didn't originate as computer jargon. I remember
- in grade school (in the late '60s or early '70s) that someone tried
- to introduce a new puctuation mark called the "interrobang", which was
- a question mark superimposed on an exclamation mark. It was supposed
- to indicate quizzical surprise. It never caught on; people tend to
- use ???!!!??? or some such. Could have come out of the printing industry.
