  16. We have 3 machines registered in the NRS, one with a Janet connection.
  17. I build a slave config for the two machines without Janet connections which punts any 
  18. non local mail  or mail not destined for any other NRS registered local host 
  19. to the machine with  the Janet connection, which then shoves it off to the right place.
  20.  
  21. However, it would be nice to allow local email to flow between machines on-site without
  22. having to go through the hassle of putting them into the UK-sendmail config tables.
  23. (and adding them to the NRS - not something I really want to do for machines that simply
  24. want to exchange local email)

  26. So, how can I make the UK sendmail configs accept addresses of the form 
  27. user@host, where host is simply in /etc/hosts in the local domain 
  28. and not wired into the actual sendmail config.

  30. At the moment, anything like that gets chucked out with an 'Unknown Domain'
  31. error.....you have to build it into the config in the ether file listing all
  32. local ether hosts.
  33. Is there anyway I can specify some wildcard in the configs for each of my
  34. UKSM 2.1 hosts to do this?

  36. I can't see an easy way to do this from the uk-sendmail config files....

  38. Can anyone suggest a Ruleset to deal with this and whereabouts it could go in
  39. a typical UK SM 2.1 config file?
