- I work in a large network of Sun workstations and to solve the problem
- of mail being sent to a workstation that may well be unavailable we
- send all mail to an alias that is guaranteed to have a high
- availability. In fact it is an alias that moves from time to time.
- After trying a couple of methods of getting mh to use the from address
- that I wanted I gave up and used a reply-to line in reply and compose
- forms. I thought that that solved everything but now I notice that in
- the posting process I get the alias eos translated to the main machine
- name of eos99. This isn't so important but I wondered if it was
- possible to override the translation in any way and also what the
- historical reasoning behind the translation was.
