- I don't usually read this newsgroup ... pardon me if this bug has been
- brought up before:
-
- We're running ELM 2.3 PL11 around here. That version is installed in
- /export on the Auspex my workstation boots from (the workstation is an
- IPC running SunOS 4.1.1); the same ELM version is installed on our mail
- server, a 690/SunOS 4.1.2 (its /var/spool/mail is mounted on my workstation).
- My personal files on the Auspex are also mounted on the mail server.
-
- I began to notice that when I newalias on the mail server, then my
- aliases no longer work on my workstation. It turns out that my
- aliases.hash file is *different* when I "newalias" on the 690 mail
- server, than it is when I "newalias" on my IPC, even though both run
- the same version of elm.
-
- Anyone seen this bug before? Please reply directly to me, will summarize
- if this topic hasn't been discussed before ...
