  11. PCScheme worked great on my 386 PC until I upgraded it to a 486.

  13. Now only the limited-memory version pcs.exe works.  When I try to use
  14. pcsext.exe or pcsexp.exe, they act brain-damaged, saying that "car" and "cdr"
  15. are undefined, etc.

  17. I've tried playing with EMM386.SYS, QEMM, etc. to try to find a memory manager
  18. it likes, but nothing seems to help.  I have 16M of RAM that can be treated as
  19. extended or expanded, and use a true 486 including the built-in floating point
  20. co-processor.

  22. Someone told me that the altdorf version (/pub/pcscheme/pcscm3_3.exe on
  23. altdorf.ai.mit.edu) would be better than the one I already had (PCScheme
  24. purchased (!!)  from TI), but after I installed it I had the identical
  25. problem.
