- PCScheme worked great on my 386 PC until I upgraded it to a 486.
-
- Now only the limited-memory version pcs.exe works. When I try to use
- pcsext.exe or pcsexp.exe, they act brain-damaged, saying that "car" and "cdr"
- are undefined, etc.
-
- I've tried playing with EMM386.SYS, QEMM, etc. to try to find a memory manager
- it likes, but nothing seems to help. I have 16M of RAM that can be treated as
- extended or expanded, and use a true 486 including the built-in floating point
- co-processor.
-
- Someone told me that the altdorf version (/pub/pcscheme/pcscm3_3.exe on
- altdorf.ai.mit.edu) would be better than the one I already had (PCScheme
- purchased (!!) from TI), but after I installed it I had the identical
- problem.
-
- Any help at all would be appreciated....
