- INTRODUCTION
-
- The first European Modula-2 Conference held in Wales in December 1990
- provided an excellent forum in which to promote the knowledge and use of
- Modula-2 within Education, Commerce and Industry.

- Following the success of this event, Leicester Polytechnic is organising
- the Second European Modula-2 Conference to take place in Leicester on 8th-
- 9th September 1992.
-
- This conference will once again provide an opportunity for those interested
- in the Modula-2 language and its environments to discuss and exchange ideas
- on recent and future developments. In particular, the conference will look
- at the emerging standard for Modula-2 and the influences of the other type-
- safe Modular languages such as Oberon, Modula 3 and Ada.

- This two day event will comprise of presentation and discussion of
- submitted papers as illustrated in the programme.

- The conference will be held at Leicester Polytechnic City Campus, which is
- situated in the Midlands and is served by excellent transport, road and
- rail links being just over one hour by rail from London. The campus is
- situated close to all local amenities including restaurants, shopping,
- theatres and cinemas. Leicester is at the heart of some of the most
- picturesque rural landscapes in the country.
