  12. It is true that (to my knowledge) the only published books available
  13. on Eiffel so far are by me. However:
  14.  
  15. 1. Many universities around the world teach Eiffel and a number
  16. of professors have developed fairly extensive course notes in various
  17. languages.
  18.  
  19. 2. In terms of books proper, I know of about half a dozen projects
  20. of Eiffel books. Some of them have come my way in my capacity as editor
  21. of the Prentice Hall Object-Oriented Series (by the way, to add a sneaky
  22. commercial pitch, I am always interested in more good proposals); others
  23. are for other publishers. I can see at least two books out before the
  24. end of the year, and others to follow shortly.

  26. Thanks, by the way, for the nice comments about my own books. Their
  27. deficiencies are obvious too, so their existence should not discourage
  28. others.
