  15.            I need to convert a three dimensional identifier to a one,two or
  16. three digit number.
  17. I am doing it for converting a three dimensional pointer to a one dimensional   one .
  18. I know for sure that it has got to do something with the masking.
  19. Can somebody suugest me a way out of this
  20. For Example what I have to do is find a unique number for each of three         dimensional Identifiers.
  21. I need to find out a single unique number for each of all [1-999][1-999][0-3]
  22. numbers.
  23. Any help will be highly appreciated
