- First, let me apologize. I usually hit the 'j'unk key when I
- see a request for info on translators. Mostly because I don't
- philosophically support the usage of them. Well, now I'M the
- one asking for information.
-
- I quickly looked through the Translators.txt file on the AJPO
- host and found a decent enough listing of available translators.
- Unfortunately, that listing gave no indication of the health
- or robustness of said products. I am looking for "lessons learned"
- using a source translator. I am also curious as to what the
- "flavor" of FORTRAN was supported by the tool. We are about to
- embark on a major translation of software for the Space Transportation
- System (Shuttle). Some of this software is in FORTRAN 66! (Did
- I happen to mention GOTO's? :-)
-
- Please, for those of you that want to send flames, do NOT use the
- above internet address. Instead, send them to flames@slant.dev.slant.null
-
- P.S. -- To any vendors that might reply: I'm only interested in
- TOOLS. I will not respond to solicitations for translation services.
