- Hello there..
-
- I have recently started to program in the undocumented MODE-X
- resolution (320x240x256) on VGA cards, and was very impressed by its
- potential, especially compared with the "standard" 256 color mode.
- I have read a couple of posts by people who have programmed this mode,
- so I know you guys are out there.. but has anybody tried this mode on
- OS/2 systems?
- I don't know much about OS/2 but it seems to play watchdog
- over most graphics (why else all the hype about "full-screen mode" in
- the games newsgroup"??) and since MODE-X is not a BIOS supported mode
- one would suspect that OS/2 would not know what to do with it..
-
- Has anybody tried this? Does it work?
-
- P.S. Is anybody interested in exchanging techniques for programming this
- mode? I have compiled a pretty streamlined library in PASCAL (TP5.5)..
