- I would like to be able to display a 256 grey level picture on a VGA monitor
- and am willing to purchase a 24 bit video board to do so. A number of
- questions come to mind.
- 1-Are there video cards on the market with software drivers available
- to the end-user. Specifically, I will be writing MS C code and would
- like to have a linkable subroutine library that I can control the functions
- of the video board. One of the functions that I am looking for is the
- ability to load 1 of the 3 eight bit deep color planes (RGB) then use
- that image to drive a monochrome VGA monitor.
- 2-Assuming that #1 is possible, is it then possible to load totally
- different pictures into the three banks?
- Thanks for the help
