- I need to find information about the .PIX graphics file format. It is used by
- amateur astronomers in many of their CCD cameras. I need to know about
- the image header and the footer (if one exists) and how the data is stored.

- I found one reference that says that there is a seven byte header that
- containsinformation about the size of the image and its location in _memory_,
- but this makes no sense to me.
