- I don't know what the first poster based his conclusion on that xloadimage
- converts to 8 bits. We have the latest version running on our 24-bit
- HP9000/835 Turbo SRX (My computer type's name is more complex than yours ;-)
- under X11R4, and it most certainly is 24 bit. It also runs on our other
- machines: HP9000/7xx, Sun Sparcstation 1 and Tektronix XD88/10 workstations.
- Although it does not offer all 'image processing' options of xv-2.21 it is
- a lot faster, esp. during start up. It is available from export.lcs.mit.edu
- (18.24.0.12).
